Georgia is seeking to deepen economic ties with Turkmenistan as Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili began an official visit to the country.
During the visit, Kvrivishvili is expected to hold high-level meetings with Turkmen government officials focused on expanding bilateral economic cooperation and strengthening trade relations between the two nations, The Caspian Post reports via Business Georgia.
The Georgian minister will also co-chair the fifth session of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between Georgia and Turkmenistan, a key platform aimed at advancing joint projects and boosting partnership across strategic sectors.
The talks are expected to focus on enhancing regional connectivity, trade opportunities, and broader economic collaboration as both countries continue to strengthen ties along key transport and energy corridors.
