Turkmenistan Showcases Vision for Sustainable Growth at Silk Road Forum in Georgia

A Turkmen delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov has taken part in the 5th Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, highlighting Turkmenistan’s commitment to regional stability and sustainable development.

Held under the slogan “Invest in Connectivity - Develop in Stability,” the international forum gathered over 2,000 participants from more than 60 countries, including government leaders, heads of financial institutions, and major business representatives, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.

Speaking at the plenary session, Meredov outlined several key Turkmen initiatives:

Proposing a Global Security Strategy built on trust, preventive diplomacy, and neutrality;

Calling for an international platform to protect the ecosystems of the Caspian and Black Seas, fostering regional environmental cooperation;

Advocating to declare 2028 the Year of International Law to reinforce global legal norms.

The forum also featured panel discussions on the Middle Corridor, energy and digital technologies, and the regional investment climate, serving as a major platform for strategic dialogue on trade, transport, and connectivity.

Turkmenistan’s participation reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and strengthening transport and energy cooperation across Eurasia.
