Flower Festival Sparks Tourism Boom in Uzbekistan's Namangan

Tourism in Uzbekistan’s Namangan region saw a major upswing in 2025, driven by the traditional International Flower Festival and a series of high-profile international events.

As a result, the region welcomed 1.5 million foreign visitors and 5.2 million domestic tourists over the year, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Exports of tourism services reached $224.2 million, exceeding annual targets by 7 per cent and underscoring the sector’s rapid momentum.

Looking ahead to 2026, tourism has been identified as one of Namangan’s key economic priorities, aimed at job creation and boosting local economic activity.

A flagship project under this strategy is the development of the Arashan Resort, a modern and innovative tourist complex taking shape near the Arashan lakes in Pop district. The project is being implemented by Arashan company, with total investment estimated at $150 million.

Once operational, the resort will be able to serve up to 2,000 tourists per hour. In its initial years, the complex is expected to attract around 1 million domestic visitors and 70,000 international tourists, with annual exports of tourism services projected to reach $15 million.
