Russian Companies Recruit Uzbek Workers for New Jobs

Major Russian companies are launching a large-scale recruitment campaign in Uzbekistan, offering around 2,000 job vacancies across key industries, as demand for foreign workers continues growing.

The hiring campaign will take place from February 16 to 20 across eight regions of Uzbekistan, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Jobs Available in Industry, Logistics, and Agriculture

Among the companies participating in the recruitment drive are Rusal, along with logistics firms, industrial enterprises, and agricultural producers. The vacancies span sectors such as metallurgy, transport, logistics, and agriculture.

Monthly salaries are expected to start at 70,000 rubles ($912.92), offering competitive wages for skilled and semi-skilled workers.

Successful candidates will be employed in several Russian regions, including Krasnoyarsk, Zabaykalsky, and Khabarovsk territories, as well as Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod, and Moscow regions, and the capital city of Moscow.

Growing Demand for Uzbek Workers in Russia

The recruitment drive reflects rising labor demand in Russia and the growing role of Uzbek workers in filling workforce shortages. In 2025 alone, Uzbekistan received job offers from more than 320 Russian employers seeking to fill over 150,000 positions.

Official data shows that between January and September 2025, the number of Uzbek citizens leaving for work abroad increased by 38%, reaching 1.86 million people.

Russia remains the primary destination, with an estimated 1.3 million Uzbek migrant workers currently employed across the country.

Migration Partnerships Expand Employment Opportunities

The new recruitment campaign highlights deepening labor cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia, providing Uzbek citizens with access to higher-paying jobs while assisting Russian industries address labor shortages.

Authorities say such programs are aimed at ensuring legal employment opportunities, improving worker protections, and strengthening bilateral economic ties.
