Uzbekistan’s rhythmic gymnast Takhmina Ikromova has brought home a wave of national pride, winning two gold medals and one silver at the Summer Universiade, marking the country's first gold since 2017 at the international student games.

Ikromova delivered a standout performance in the hoop routine, dazzling judges with her precision, control, and artistic flair, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The performance earned her the highest score of the competition, securing Uzbekistan's first gold medal of the Universiade in Germany’s Rhine-Ruhr region.

She followed up with another podium finish in the clubs event, where she claimed a silver medal, further adding to Uzbekistan’s medal tally.

Later in the competition, Ikromova triumphed again in the ribbon routine, earning her second gold medal of the games and cementing her position as one of the Universiade’s top rhythmic gymnasts.

As of now, Uzbekistan’s delegation has secured a total of five medals - two golds and three silvers - with Ikromova responsible for three of them.
