Uzbek, Russian Lawmakers Convene in Kazan for Regional Cooperation Talks

A high-level delegation from Uzbekistan’s Senate, led by First Deputy Chairman Sodiq Safoyev, has arrived in Kazan to attend the 10th session of the Uzbekistan-Russia Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Commission, aimed at strengthening legislative dialogue and coordinating regional policy efforts with the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.

The delegation’s visit marks a new chapter in the strengthening of parliamentary diplomacy between the two countries, with discussions focusing on a wide range of strategic areas, including economic and trade relations, education, agriculture, tourism, and broader humanitarian cooperation, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.

In addition to the main session, the Uzbek delegation is expected to hold bilateral meetings with senior officials from the Federation Council and the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan.

As part of the working visit, delegates will also tour Tatarstan’s advanced technological infrastructure, gaining insights into the region’s innovation-driven development strategies and exploring potential areas for future collaboration.
