Uzbek, Russian Presidents Focus on Partnership, Trade, and Global Affairs

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Russian President Vladimir Putin have held a phone talk to discuss key aspects of bilateral cooperation and important international issues.

During the call, President Putin shared the results of his recent meeting with US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, which took place in Moscow, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The leaders concentrated on practical measures to deepen and strengthen the Uzbekistan-Russia relationship within their comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance. They emphasized implementing high-level agreements already reached.

Both presidents highlighted the importance of joint efforts to boost mutual trade and investment, expedite cooperative projects in priority economic sectors, and maintain active dialogue, business ties, and humanitarian exchanges at the regional level.

The conversation also included planning for upcoming meetings and collaborative events between the two countries.
