After negotiations in Samarkand, Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni signed a Joint Declaration to enhance their strategic partnership, The Caspian Post reports citing UzA.
In their presence, a ceremony was also held for the exchange of signed bilateral agreements, including:
- on the promotion and mutual protection of investments;
- on cooperation in critical raw materials;
- on cooperation in migration and mobility;
- on cooperation in the sustainable development and environmental, as well as cultural heritage protection;
- on interaction with the Climate Fund and the Confederation of Italian Agriculture, and cooperation in green development with the companies Sogesid and Ansaldo;
- on partnership with the universities of Tuscia, Pisa, and Turin.
As part of the official visit, documents were also signed with the National Research Council of Italy, the companies SIMEST and Danieli, the University of Perugia, and others.
