Uzbekistan’s coffee market is seeing a notable shift, with Italy emerging as the top supplier despite an overall drop in imports.
The country imported 136.2 tons of coffee worth $1.6 million from 20 countries in January-February 2026. That marks a sharp decline of 32.4% compared to the same period last year, signaling changing demand or supply dynamics, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
Italy led the pack, exporting 46.3 tons of coffee to Uzbekistan, reinforcing its position as a key partner in the country’s growing coffee culture.
Other major suppliers included Ethiopia with 26.7 tons, Vietnam with 15 tons, Germany supplying 14.8 tons, and Russia with 14.2 tons.
Imports from other countries totaled 19.2 tons, reflecting a diverse but increasingly competitive supplier landscape.
