Uzbekistan's Islamic Civilization Center enters Guinness World Records

Uzbekistan has achieved a global milestone as the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent has been officially recognized by the Guinness World Records as the largest museum of Islamic civilization in the world.

Located in the historic Hazrat Imam complex in the capital, the project was initiated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. It was designed as a modern cultural and scientific hub showcasing the legacy and contributions of great Eastern scholars, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The complex stands out for its impressive scale. It spans around 10 hectares, with a building length of 161 meters, a width of 118 meters, and a dome reaching 65 meters in height. The total interior area is approximately 50,000 square meters - figures that secured its record-breaking status.

The official certificate was presented by Guinness World Records representative Seyda Subasi during a formal ceremony.

In addition to the Guinness recognition, the museum has also been named the best museum in the Turkic world, further strengthening its international cultural status.
