A ceremony at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Türkiye officially appointed Çokay Koçar, Chairman of the Uzbekistan Culture, Solidarity, and Cooperation Society, as an Ambassador of Uzbek culture in the country.
Çokay Koçar, who is actively working to consolidate the Uzbek diaspora in Türkiye and promote Uzbek culture abroad, was awarded a high public mission for his contribution to strengthening spiritual and cultural ties between the two countries, The Caspian Post reports citing Uzbek media.
Deputy Secretary General of TURKSOY, Sayit Yusuf, representatives of cultural and educational circles, scientists, creative intelligentsia, active students, and ethnic Uzbeks living in Türkiye, attended the event.
Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Türkiye, Ilhom Haydarov, presented Çokay Koçar with a special certificate and the honorary badge of “Ambassador of Uzbek Culture”, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives.
Speaking at the ceremony, Çokay Koçar expressed profound gratitude to the leadership of Uzbekistan for their trust and promised to make every effort to promote the rich cultural heritage of his native country actively.
“Due to the strategic dialogue between the leaders of Uzbekistan and Türkiye, our cooperation has reached a new level. The cultural-humanitarian field occupies a special place in it. My mission as an Ambassador of Uzbek Culture is a bridge between fraternal nations”, he noted.
The participants also highly appreciated the attention paid by the President of Uzbekistan to the promotion of national culture outside the country and expressed confidence that the new appointment will contribute to further enhancing cultural exchanges between Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
