Tajikistan has started receiving electricity from Uzbekistan, easing the country’s energy shortage.
Currently, up to 2 million kilowatt-hours are supplied daily, with potential for increased volumes if Uzbekistan expands its export capacity, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
Preliminary agreements have also been reached for possible electricity imports from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, with technical transit arrangements under discussion.
