Uzbekistan, China Forge Closer Economic, Cultural Links

Governor of Uzbekistan’s Fergana Region, Khairullo Bozorov, has met with a delegation from Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province, led by Zhao Jing, Secretary of the Shangluo Communist Party Committee, to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation and deepening interregional ties.

During the meeting, both parties emphasized the steady progress of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China, noting that cooperation between regions is becoming increasingly practical and productive, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Bozorov highlighted the growing exchange of delegations and the implementation of joint investment and industrial projects as key drivers of momentum in the relationship.

Moreover, Bozorov pointed out the rising number of Chinese entrepreneurs visiting Fergana and assured that comprehensive support and favorable conditions are in place to facilitate their activities. “Every investor can count on full support,” he stressed.

Zhao Jing expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of cooperation and conveyed Shanlu’s strong interest in further expanding business ties with Fergana. She confirmed that Chinese investors are closely watching Uzbekistan’s investment landscape and that Shanlu’s business community is ready to initiate projects across industry, infrastructure, and trade sectors.

The meeting concluded with mutual commitments to strengthen trust and expand the mutually beneficial partnership. Bozorov reaffirmed the regional government’s ongoing support for investment initiatives.

A Memorandum of Friendship and Cooperation between the cities of Fergana and Shanlu was also signed during the visit, marking a new milestone in bilateral relations.
