Uzbekistan Emerges As Top Travel Hotspot in 2025

Uzbekistan recorded a sharp rise in foreign tourist arrivals in the first half of 2025, welcoming more than 783,000 international visitors.

This figure marks a 48.3 per cent increase - or 255,100 more visitors - compared to the same period in 2024, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Russia remained the top source of inbound tourism, with 166,600 Russian citizens traveling to Uzbekistan during the period. Turkmenistan followed with 123,000 visitors, while Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan contributed 77,700, 71,600, and 49,100 tourists, respectively.

China (39,100 visitors), Türkiye (29,300), India (22,000), Italy (18,600), South Korea (14,900), Germany (14,700), and the United States (13,200) were also among the notable contributors to the country’s growing tourism market.

Tourists from other countries accounted for a further 143,900 arrivals, underscoring Uzbekistan’s rising popularity as a global travel destination.
