Uzbekistan, Italy Aim to Expand International Road Freight Partnership

Representatives from Uzbekistan and Italy have convened via video conference to discuss advancing bilateral cooperation in international road freight transport.

The meeting focused on key issues, including enhancing export-import activities, creating favorable operating conditions for transport companies, and strengthening overall business relations between the two countries, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

A significant part of the discussion addressed the exchange of transport permit documents. The parties agreed to allocate additional permits for 2025 and increase the volume of permits within the primary quota for 2026, marking an important step in facilitating smoother cross-border freight movement.
