Citizens of Uzbekistan will not receive commemorative certificates during the second stage of the population and agricultural land census.
The National Statistics Committee explained that certificates were issued only during the first stage of the census, when participants filled out questionnaires independently through the OneID online system, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.
At that time, the certificates were generated automatically once the registration process was completed.
The second stage of the census follows a different procedure. Enumerators now visit households in person and record responses using special tablets. Because the information is entered by census workers rather than by citizens themselves through an electronic system, commemorative certificates are not generated.
The tablets used by enumerators operate offline and are not connected to government databases. As a result, personal details such as first name, last name, and date of birth are entered manually based on the information provided verbally by respondents.
Each enumerator is issued an official service badge. Citizens can verify the authenticity of the badge by scanning the QR code on it or by contacting the call center at 1851.
