Uzbekistan Sets New Record with Over 1 Million Foreign Tourists in April 2025

Uzbekistan welcomed more than 1 million foreign tourists in April 2025, marking the highest monthly figure in the country’s history, according to the State Committee for Tourism.

The committee emphasized that this achievement not only marks a record for the country but also demonstrates the growing potential of its tourism sector, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

Plans are in place to further develop tourism, expand the range of internationally competitive services, and strengthen Uzbekistan’s position as a globally attractive and competitive travel destination. The focus will include support for eco-friendly and sustainable tourism.

According to data from the National Statistics Committee, 1.3 million foreign nationals visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes during January-February 2025.

This marks an increase of 361,200 visitors or 37.1% compared to the same period in the previous year.

Breakdown of foreign tourists entering Uzbekistan in January-February 2025 by country:

  • Kyrgyzstan - 422,591 visitors
  • Tajikistan - 401,377 visitors
  • Kazakhstan - 199,048 visitors
  • Russia - 90,611 visitors
  • Afghanistan - 81,797 visitors
  • Turkmenistan - 48,871 visitors
  • Türkiye - 22,520 visitors
  • China - 14,062 visitors
  • India - 10,326 visitors
  • Republic of Korea - 5,292 visitors
  • Other countries - 38,810 visitors
