Uzbekistan, South Korea Discuss Strengthening Business Ties and Investment Cooperation

Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Seoul Alisher Abdusalomov met with Kim Ki-Mun, Chairman of Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business.

The chairman praised the significant transformations in Uzbekistan in recent years, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

He noted that the favorable investment climate and business-friendly environment have generated strong interest from foreign investors, including South Korean companies.

It was emphasized that to elevate trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the two countries and implement mutually beneficial projects, special attention should be given to strengthening business ties through interregional collaboration.

A key topic of discussion was the planned visit of a delegation of South Korean business leaders to Uzbekistan in June 2025, led by the Federation’s Chairman. The delegation will participate in the 4th Tashkent International Investment Forum and the Uzbekistan - South Korea Business Forum.

Following the meeting, both sides agreed to intensify efforts to promote promising investment projects in Uzbekistan among South Korean small and medium-sized businesses.
