Uzbekistan has reached an agreement to lease agricultural land in Belarus for a joint livestock development project aimed at expanding agricultural cooperation between the two countries.
Under the plan, the first phase will involve raising around 1,000 head of cattle on the leased farmland. The initiative will be implemented by companies from the Kashkadarya Region in partnership with Belarusian agricultural enterprises, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
The agreement was finalized during a visit by an Uzbek delegation, which also included meetings with local agribusinesses and retail networks to explore further trade opportunities.
Alongside livestock production, an Uzbek company has also signed a contract with a Belarusian retail chain to supply a range of agricultural goods, including dried fruits, legumes, melons, and grapes.
