Uzbekistan, UK’s Suffolk Chamber Focus on Renewable Energy, IT, and Trade Growth

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United Kingdom has held an online meeting with International Trade Manager at Suffolk Chamber of Commerce Koyas Miah to discuss prospects for strengthening economic ties between Uzbek and British businesses.

The sides reviewed opportunities to deepen cooperation across several priority sectors, including agriculture, logistics, information and communication technologies (ICT), renewable energy, industrial production, and healthcare, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

Particular emphasis was placed on supporting Uzbek companies in accessing the UK market. Discussions touched on facilitating foreign trade operations, conducting market research, managing risks, and navigating tariff structures-all aimed at helping Uzbek businesses integrate into the British and broader international markets.

Following the talks, both parties reached an agreement to coordinate efforts in promoting joint projects and enhancing bilateral partnerships.

Founded in 1884, the Suffolk Chamber is one of the UK's oldest and most active business associations. It is a member of the British Chambers of Commerce network and currently represents approximately 1,800 companies.
