Armenia and Georgia Defense Chiefs Hold Closed-Door Talks

Following the welcoming ceremony for Armenia's Minister of Defense, Suren Papikyan, a private meeting was held with Georgia's Minister of Defense, which was later expanded to include a larger delegation at the Ministry of Defense of Georgia.

The meeting was also attended by the ambassador Armenia to Georgia, Ashot Smbatyan, The Caspian Post reports, citing Armenian media.

During the meeting, the process and development prospects of Armenian-Georgian cooperation in the defense sector was discussed.

The parties talked also about several regional security issues.
