Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has once again extended an official invitation to French President Emmanuel Macron to visit Armenia, marking the sixth such invitation in the past three years.
The renewed invitation came in a message sent by Pashinyan to Macron in honor of France’s National Day (Bastille Day), celebrated on July 14, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
“I eagerly look forward to welcoming you to Armenia this year on a state visit,” the prime minister wrote, expressing hopes for Macron’s long-anticipated trip.
In his message, Pashinyan praised the evolving relationship between Yerevan and Paris, noting that the high-level political dialogue and effective cooperation between the two countries-bolstered by Macron’s strong commitment-have developed into a strategic partnership.
He also commended France for its ongoing support of Armenia and Macron’s personal engagement in promoting a just and lasting peace in the South Caucasus.
President Macron visited Armenia in October 2018. A follow-up visit, originally expected to take place on Armenia’s Independence Day on September 21, 2023, was ultimately canceled.
