Azerbaijan’s internationally recognized ASAN Service model drew significant attention at the United Nations Public Service Forum in Tbilisi, Georgia, where officials from several countries expressed interest in adopting its innovative approach to citizen services.
A delegation led by Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan (ASAN Service), is participating in the high-level event hosted in the Georgian capital, The Caspian Post reports via Report.
The forum, held under the theme “Transforming Public Institutions: Advancing Innovation, Participation and Inclusion,” brought together senior officials and experts from around the world. Among the participants were Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs Li Junhua, and other international delegates.
During the forum, Mehdiyev held bilateral meetings with senior officials from Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, as well as Georgia’s Minister of Justice. He presented the achievements and operational model of ASAN Service, highlighting its role in modernizing public services and improving government efficiency.
Representatives from Sri Lanka and Bangladesh expressed interest in implementing elements of the Azerbaijani model in their own countries, underscoring the growing international recognition of ASAN Service.
The discussions with Georgian officials also focused on strengthening cooperation and exchanging best practices in public administration and service delivery.
Mehdiyev’s visit to Georgia is ongoing.
