Azerbaijani Paralympic Shooters Qualify for World Championships in South Korea

Azerbaijani Paralympic shooters Kamran Zeynalov and Aybeniz Babayeva have secured their spots at the upcoming World Para Shooting Championships in South Korea.

The duo earned their qualification following outstanding performances at the Grand Prix Novi Sad in Serbia, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

Zeynalov claimed gold in the 10-meter air pistol (P1) and placed fourth in the 50-meter air pistol (P4). Babayeva, who competed at the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympics, finished fourth and eighth in the same events, respectively.

The World Shooting Para Sport Championships are scheduled to take place in Changwon, South Korea, from September 3-14, 2026, and will serve as a quota event for the LA 2028 Paralympic Games.
