Central Asia Must Align Positions Amid Growing Interest

Chief Expert at the Kyrgyz National Institute for Strategic Initiatives Temirlan Razbaev has said that major world powers are showing growing interest in Central Asia, creating both new development opportunities and an urgent need for coordinated regional positions.

Speaking during a panel session at the international conference “C6: One Region, Shared Future - Enhancing Strategic Dialogue” in Baku, Razbaev noted that the region is increasingly becoming a crossroads of geopolitical and economic interests, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

Bishkek Hosts C5+ Forum

Last week, Bishkek hosted a C5+ business forum, where Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov met with US Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor. Discussions focused on political and economic engagement, as well as cooperation in the transport sector.

Region at the Crossroads

Razbaev said that Central Asia is steadily transforming into a zone where the interests of major global players intersect. While this opens new prospects for growth and diversification, it also makes coordination among regional states increasingly essential.

The expert concluded that strengthening dialogue within frameworks such as C6 will help Central Asian countries shape balanced strategies and safeguard their collective interests amid intensifying global competition.
