The 7th Central Asian Conference on Climate Change (CACCC-2025): “Achieving the Global Goal of Climate Finance through Regional and National Actions in Central Asia” will start in Ashgabat on May 13 at the Yildiz Hotel.
The meeting is organized by the Regional Environmental Center for Central Asia, The Caspian Post reports, citing Turkmen media.
The forum is aimed at addressing issues related to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, adapting to changes in the climatic background of nature and weather for residents and economies of the region, with an emphasis on the water sector.
The event is designed to unite specialists from government agencies, the scientific community, public environmental associations and financial institutions to find solutions.
After two days of the conference, the following events are scheduled to take place: a seminar on "Scientific Research and Adaptation to Climate Change for the Sustainability of the Water Sphere" (May 15), the 60th meeting of the CAREC Board of Governors, a field trip to inspect the forest plantations of the Ahal velayat as an example of ecosystem solutions, as well as a cultural program.
