Kyrgyzstan-Russia Trade Volume Soars to $3.5 Billion

At a meeting between Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev and Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexey Overchuk, special attention was paid to the positive dynamics in the development of trade and economic ties.

In 2024, the volume of mutual trade between Kyrgyzstan and Russia reached $3.5 billion, demonstrating a steady growth of 14.5% compared to the previous year, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.

The parties confirmed their mutual interest in further increasing trade volumes.

The meeting was held in an expanded format with the participation of heads of key ministries and departments of both countries.

During a constructive and substantive conversation, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in key areas: economic, social, investment, industrial and cultural. Particular attention was paid to the prospects for implementing joint projects of strategic importance for the economic development of Kyrgyzstan and Russia, as well as the implementation of the tasks set by the leaders of the two states.
