A series of festive events dedicated to Azerbaijan’s Victory Day, celebrated on November 8, will take place in Batumi, Georgia.
Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Batumi Fuad Azizov said that the Consulate has organized a comprehensive program to mark this important occasion, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
The celebrations will bring together officials from the government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, representatives of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and the Kulevi Terminal, members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Batumi, as well as Azerbaijani diaspora members and students.
“Starting in early November, a variety of ceremonies involving our compatriots and Azerbaijani citizens living in Batumi will be held,” Azizov said. “Students from the Sunday School operating under the Consulate are also enthusiastically preparing a special festive program. The aim of these events is to highlight the importance of the historic victory achieved under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, President Ilham Aliyev, and to share its significance with the younger generation, the Batumi public, and representatives of international organizations. This victory carries a profound political and moral message to the world.”
