Georgia deported more than 1,300 foreign nationals in 2025, with citizens of India accounting for the largest share, according to official figures.
Data released by Georgian media outlets and the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs show that a total of 1,311 foreign nationals were expelled over the year, The Caspian Post reports.
Indian citizens led the list with 269 deportations, followed by nationals of Türkiye (176) and Iran (157).
The figures also include deportations from neighboring countries, with 39 citizens of Azerbaijan, 26 from Armenia, and 73 from Russia removed from the country.
Officials said the deportations reflect Georgia’s broader push to tighten migration controls and respond to violations of residency and visa regulations.
