Iran’s military released a video showcasing its underground air defense system, including tunnels carved into rock thick enough for trucks and automated missile loading.
The footage features stacks of surface-to-air missiles of various types and highlights the meticulous final step: adding inscriptions in Persian to missile containers, The Caspian Post reports via Russian website.
One container reads: “F-35-stealth? Hardly… The only invisible one is me.”
The video concludes with clips depicting the interception of a F-35, demonstrating Iran’s capacity to operate from hidden positions and maintain control over parts of its airspace.
Military expert Boris Rozhin notes that, despite past US claims of completely destroying Iranian air defenses, Tehran has preserved a significant portion of its missile systems and continues to operate them strategically, often launching from long-range safe distances.
These underground arsenals are part of a long-term preparation for conflict, giving Iran the ability to strike unexpectedly and complicate any adversary’s air operations.
