Iran is ready to share its aviation expertise and operational know-how with Tajikistan, opening the door to a major boost in bilateral cooperation across the air transport sector.
During a meeting in Dushanbe, Hossein Pourfarzaneh, head of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, told Director of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of Tajikistan Habibullo Nazarzoda that Tehran is prepared to support Tajikistan in everything from aircraft maintenance and parts manufacturing to flight safety, air navigation, airport development, and personnel training, The Caspian Post informs via Tajik media.
Pourfarzaneh highlighted Iran’s long-standing cultural and linguistic ties with Tajikistan, saying the proposed partnership reflects “unity, synergy, and mutual support among Persian-speaking countries in the region.”
Tajikistan welcomed the offer, with Nazarzoda expressing strong interest in tapping into Iran’s technical and educational capabilities to strengthen the country’s aviation infrastructure and operational standards.
Both sides agreed to prepare a comprehensive memorandum of understanding covering technical cooperation, training initiatives, safety systems, navigational support, and air transport development - a move expected to mark a major milestone in the two nations’ aviation partnership.
