Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has shared a video from Astana on his social media, featuring a popular Kazakh song.
Pashinyan is scheduled to hold several high-level meetings on November 21 in the Kazakh capital to discuss key areas of bilateral cooperation, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
The Armenian prime minister arrived in Kazakhstan on an official visit on November 20. Diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Armenia were established on August 27, 1992, and since then the two countries have signed around 40 agreements, including the 1999 Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation.
Over the past three decades, the partnership has evolved from protocol-level exchanges to a structured system of political dialogue. Experts note that until recently, interactions were mostly confined to multilateral platforms such as the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
However, a steady series of reciprocal visits between 2023 and 2025 has significantly strengthened ties - with more than ten meetings held at the level of presidents, prime ministers, foreign ministers, and parliament speakers in just the past two years.
