Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan Unite to Boost Autism Support

Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have taken a meaningful step toward strengthening regional cooperation in autism support, as leading organizations from both countries signed a new partnership agreement.

The Azerbaijan Autism Association and the Kazakhstan National Autism Association have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at expanding collaboration in autism care and social inclusion, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

The agreement focuses on sharing best practices in autism treatment, launching joint initiatives, and developing rehabilitation, training, and social support programs for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The MoU was signed on the sidelines of an international event organized by the Autism Federation of Turkic States in Astana.

The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Vugar Iskandarov, Honorary President of the Azerbaijan Autism Association, alongside Vice-President Sona Aliyeva and Elnur Mammadli, President of the Autism Federation of Turkic States.

In addition to the signing ceremony, participants adopted a series of resolutions aimed at boosting regional cooperation and improving the integration of individuals with ASD into society-highlighting a growing commitment among Turkic states to inclusive social development and cross-border collaboration.
