Belarus and Kazakhstan have signed a series of bilateral agreements and roadmaps aimed at boosting industrial cooperation, trade, economic, scientific-technical, and cultural collaboration for 2026-2028.
The signing ceremony took place in Astana, with the Prime Ministers of Belarus and Kazakhstan, Alexander Turchin and Olzhas Bektenov, in attendance, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Turchin emphasized that trade between the two countries remains strong at around $1 billion, while noting the potential for further growth.
“Today’s negotiations focused on strengthening trade and economic ties. One of the main priorities is industrial cooperation, particularly in mechanical engineering,” Turchin said.
Bektenov highlighted that the joint project portfolio currently includes 15 shared productions, with 12 already implemented, totaling more than $200 million in investments. The remaining three projects are currently underway.
“These initiatives are strategic and built on trustful dialogue at all levels. The Kazakh government is committed to ensuring that our trade, economic, and other relations develop intensively and on a mutually beneficial basis,” Bektenov added.
The agreements are expected to deepen industrial collaboration, expand joint ventures, and strengthen economic, scientific, and cultural ties between Belarus and Kazakhstan, paving the way for long-term regional cooperation.
