A devastating road accident has claimed five lives on the Pavlodar-Kyzylorda highway in Kazakhstan, approximately five kilometers from the village of Bayet.
Local police reported that the driver of a Toyota failed to maintain a safe following distance and crashed into a Sitrak cargo truck. The collision caused the Toyota to catch fire, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Tragically, all five people inside the Toyota - including the driver and four passengers - died at the scene.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched to determine the exact circumstances of the fatal crash.
