Earthquake Jolts Southwest of Almaty

The network of seismic stations of the Kazakh Emergencies Ministry recorded a quake at 05:25 am (local time).

It was centered 434 km southwest of Almaty in Kyrgyzstan, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.

No tremors were felt in Kazakhstan.

Earlier, an earthquake was recorded 253km southeast of Almaty.
