Fuel prices in Kazakhstan have increased despite a government moratorium on some types of fuel.
In February the average price of AI-95 gasoline rose by 1.3 per cent to 308 tenge per liter, while AI-98 gasoline increased 3.7 per cent to 334 tenge per liter, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The most popular AI-92 gasoline slightly decreased by 0.4 per cent, to 235 tenge per liter, and the price of summer diesel fuel remained around 330 tenge per liter.
The moratorium only covers AI-92 and summer diesel, leaving prices for AI-95 and AI-98 unregulated, which explains the continued rise. The restrictions are in effect until the end of the first quarter of 2026.
