Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has extended his heartfelt gratitude to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for the warm hospitality during his official visit to Ankara, underscoring the strength of the countries' growing strategic partnership.
President Tokayev’s letter of thanks highlighted the significance of the high-level talks held in the Turkish capital, which reaffirmed mutual trust, fraternal friendship, and shared development goals, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.
He also commended Türkiye’s steadfast support for Kazakhstan’s initiatives in multilateral organizations such as the United Nations (UN), the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), and particularly the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
President Tokayev arrived in Türkiye on July 28, where he was welcomed by President Erdoğan at Ankara Esenboğa Airport. His program included a visit to the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and business meetings with top Turkish investors and executives.
On July 29, the two leaders co-chaired the 5th Kazakhstan-Türkiye High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, discussing cooperation in defense, AI, IT, civil aviation, education, and tourism. The session concluded with the signing of a Joint Declaration and 18 bilateral agreements, solidifying future collaboration across multiple sectors.
In recognition of his efforts to strengthen bilateral ties, President Erdoğan presented President Tokayev with Türkiye’s highest state honor, the Devlet Nişanı (Order of the State).
