President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has officially concluded his state visit to the Russian Federation.
At Vnukovo Airport, he was seen off by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk and other senior officials, The Caspian Post informs per Kazakh media.
The visit, held on November 11-12, included high-level talks and ceremonial events. Tokayev arrived in Moscow at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, and his presidential aircraft was escorted by fighter jets and helicopters, marking a special gesture of respect. At the airport, he was welcomed by a military band and honor guard.
Key Meetings and Ceremonies
The two presidents held informal talks on bilateral relations and later attended a dinner hosted by Vladimir Putin.
Tokayev laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow’s Alexander Garden and met with Valentina Matviyenko, Speaker of the Russian Federation Council.
The Kazakh leader also participated via videoconference in the 21st Kazakhstan-Russia Interregional Cooperation Forum held in Uralsk.
Strategic Partnership Strengthened
During the visit, Presidents Tokayev and Putin signed the Declaration on the Transition of Interstate Relations between Kazakhstan and Russia to a comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance, underscoring their commitment to deepening cooperation in politics, economy, and security.
The visit highlights the ongoing efforts of Kazakhstan and Russia to enhance bilateral ties and regional collaboration, solidifying the strategic partnership between the two nations.
