Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov have held negotiations at the Akorda, underscoring the growing momentum in ties between the two neighboring nations.
President Tokayev emphasized that Kazakhstan considers Turkmenistan a strategic partner, a fraternal nation, and a close neighbor bound by centuries of shared history, language, and culture, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
He noted that trade and economic cooperation between the two countries continues to expand, alongside cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
“There is every reason to express full satisfaction with the scale and quality of our cooperation. It is strategic in nature, but we must keep moving forward,” President Tokayev said, noting that key issues on the agenda are expected to find practical solutions.
President Berdimuhamedov, in turn, highlighted that relations between the two states rest on the principles of friendship, brotherhood, and good-neighborliness. He thanked President Tokayev for the invitation and the warm hospitality extended during his state visit.
He added that Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan maintain active cooperation across political, diplomatic, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres-reflecting the broad and growing partnership between the two nations.
