In 2025, Kazakhstan launched 33 new industrial enterprises, spanning sectors from machinery and metallurgy to chemical and light industries.
Shymkent leads the regions with six new facilities focused on building materials and processing industries. Four projects opened in Almaty, and three each in Almaty, Karaganda, and Pavlodar regions, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The government highlighted that the projects created over 10,000 jobs and attracted more than 841 billion tenge ($1.648 billion) in investments, strengthening the country’s foundation for economic growth.
“These projects were launched in sectors such as ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, building materials, and machinery. Notably, two large machinery plants opened: Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan in Almaty, producing multiple Chinese brands, and KIA Qazaqstan in Kostanay. Together, they created over 5,000 jobs. New products were also introduced in heavy machinery, automotive, and paper industries,” said Mukhammed Andakov, Deputy Chair of the Industrial Development Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan.
