Kazakhstan has taken a major step toward deepening regional cooperation, as the Senate officially ratified a landmark alliance treaty with Tajikistan.
The agreement, signed by the two countries’ presidents in 2024, lays the foundation for a stronger strategic partnership built on economic cooperation, mutual trust, and long-term stability, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The treaty includes provisions to protect and support mutual investments while encouraging direct connections between citizens, businesses, and institutions. It aims to unlock new opportunities for trade and cross-border collaboration.
Special attention is given to water resource management-an issue of critical importance for both nations-highlighting a shared commitment to sustainable and balanced use.
Both sides have pledged to avoid any actions that could harm their strategic relationship, reinforcing a unified approach to regional challenges.
