The memorandum was inked by the transport ministries of both countries during the International Transport and Logistics Forum, marking a new phase in bilateral collaboration on cutting-edge technologies, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

According to Kazakhstan’s Transport Ministry, the deal focuses on large-scale digitalization of the industry, including the rollout of autonomous transport systems and a shift to fully electronic permits and shipping documentation - a move expected to streamline cross-border logistics.

Beyond technology, the partnership also emphasizes knowledge-sharing. Both sides plan to exchange expertise, hold joint events, and train specialists capable of working with next-generation digital tools.

The agreement builds on already strong economic ties: Kazakhstan and Russia are currently implementing 122 major joint projects valued at $25 billion, underscoring the scale and strategic importance of their cooperation.
