Kazakhstan Secures $125M in Export Deals with China

Kazakhstan has launched the Export to China - SCO Choice forum with a strong start, securing $125 million in export deals with Chinese partners on the first day.

Trade and Integration Minister Arman Shakkaliyev highlighted that China remains Kazakhstan’s largest trading partner and emphasized the strategic importance of deepening cooperation in trade, investment, and industrial projects, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Over the past three years, bilateral trade turnover has grown from $41 billion in 2023 to $48.7 billion in 2025, reflecting strong economic complementarity and active engagement from Chinese regions such as Shandong Province.

During the forum, Shakkaliyev held talks with Shandong Deputy Governor Wen Nuan and Qingdao Mayor Ren Gang to explore industrial cooperation, logistics, investment projects, and modern technology implementation.

Kazakh companies showcased their products at the national pavilion, demonstrating export potential in agricultural products, e-commerce, and high value-added goods. Agreements included the supply of feed meal, oilseeds, and other agricultural goods.

The minister stressed the focus on sustainable and environmentally friendly joint projects and interregional collaboration, particularly with Shandong Province, one of China’s leading industrial hubs.

Kazakhstan also visited the production facilities of Haier in Qingdao and met with major companies like Qingdao Dadu Grain Co., Ltd. and RuiXue Global Co., Ltd. to discuss joint projects, modern production, and advanced agricultural technology implementation.

Shakkaliyev concluded that Kazakhstan aims to elevate bilateral cooperation to a new level, strengthening non-resource exports, value chains, and sustainable economic ties with China.
