Starting November 3, 2025, SCAT Airlines will open a new direct route linking Astana with Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, offering travelers a fresh gateway between Kazakhstan and the Balkans.
Flights on the Astana-Belgrade-Astana route will operate twice a week, every Monday and Thursday, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.
The airline describes Belgrade as a city where centuries-old heritage meets modern vibrancy - from strolling along the Danube embankment and exploring the historic Kalemegdan Fortress to enjoying coffee in open-air cafés and sampling the rich flavors of Balkan cuisine.
According to SCAT Airlines, the new connection caters both to leisure travelers seeking a distinctive cultural experience and to business passengers looking for a reliable link to Europe. Tickets for the route are already on sale.
The company also noted that a new direct flight between Almaty and Beijing has recently been launched, expanding Kazakhstan’s international air network.
