Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that Kazakhstan may see a major economic boost from digitalization and artificial intelligence.
President Tokayev made these remarks at the Altyn Sapa and Paryz awards ceremony, highlighting that AI technologies may add $14-20 billion to the country’s GDP, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The president noted that the world is on the brink of transformative change as AI accelerates global economic growth, with experts predicting up to $26 trillion added to global GDP and the creation of 78 million jobs by 2030.
The Kazakh leader emphasized building a more accessible and efficient digital ecosystem for entrepreneurs. He praised the eGovBusiness platform, which has already enabled over 4.6 million public services this year and helped cut down paperwork. Tokayev called for integrating the platform with the Digital Business Map and connecting services of local executive bodies to streamline support for businesses.
These digital upgrades, he said, will give entrepreneurs access to services through a single window, provide AI-driven business consulting, reduce administrative barriers, and improve transparency.
