Since the start of 2026, the National Security Committee has disrupted 14 drug supply channels, including 11 international and three regional routes, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Operations also led to the shutdown of five clandestine laboratories and a series of coordinated actions with international partners. In total, 10 cross-border anti-drug operations were carried out, highlighting growing global cooperation in combating narcotics trafficking.

Law enforcement seized around 240 kilograms of illegal substances, including heroin, methamphetamine, opium, hashish, marijuana, and various psychotropic drugs. The officers of the National Security Committee also confiscated more than three tonnes of chemical precursors used in drug production.

In total, 51 individuals have been detained on suspicion of involvement in the drug trade, including 43 citizens of Kazakhstan. Investigations are ongoing as officials work to uncover the full scales of the networks.
