Kazakhstan is preparing to launch its first-ever trade and economic mission to the Netherlands, marking a new step in expanding its commercial presence in Europe.
The initiative was discussed during a meeting in Kazakhstan between Trade and Integration Minister Arman Shakkaliyev and Ambassador of the Netherlands to Kazakhstan Nico Schermers, The Caspian Post reports via Kazinform.
The upcoming mission, scheduled for June, will play a key role in strengthening business-to-business ties and deepening economic cooperation between the two countries.
Trade relations between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands are already showing strong growth. In 2025, total bilateral trade reached 6.3 billion US dollars, an increase of more than 11%, while Kazakh exports to the Dutch market exceeded 5.9 billion dollars.
The Netherlands remains one of Kazakhstan’s most important economic partners in Europe, with strong cooperation in investment, logistics, agriculture, and the digital economy.
During the talks, both sides emphasized opportunities for expanding cooperation in agri-technologies, food processing, and the development of modern transport corridors linking Asia and Europe.
The planned trade mission will also be accompanied by a business summit bringing together companies from both countries to explore new investment opportunities and strengthen direct partnerships.
Kazakhstan has been actively expanding its global trade outreach, including recent missions to Mongolia, as part of a broader strategy to diversify export markets and attract foreign investment.
