During President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s official visit to the US, Kazakhstan and the US signed 30 major agreements worth $17.2 billion, backed by KAZAKH INVEST.
The deals were finalized at the US Chamber of Commerce and during the C5+1 Tenth Anniversary Business Conference in Washington, marking a new stage in strategic economic and technological cooperation between the two nations, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Among the landmark agreements:
Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development and Groq, Inc. signed a cooperation memorandum to boost AI and computing technologies.
DDH (North America) Inc. and investor Vyacheslav Kim reached a $300 million understanding for new investment projects.
Air Astana and Boeing inked a Letter of Intent for 18 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, expanding the airline’s long-haul fleet.
Tau-Ken Samruk and Cove Capital agreed to jointly develop the Northern Katpar and Verkhnee Kairakty tungsten deposits in Karaganda - a $1.1 billion mining project.
Freedom Holding Corp. and NVIDIA signed a $2 billion memorandum focused on advancing artificial intelligence initiatives.
Partnerships worth $50 million were signed with Arizona State University, Colorado School of Mines, Coursera, OpenAI, and others to expand cooperation in education and science.
1Thirty Holding (AsiaColor) and BCIU reached a $130 million deal to build a vertically integrated chemical complex in the US.
The Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development and Beeline Kazakhstan partnered to deploy Starlink’s Direct to Cell technology, bringing mobile connectivity to remote regions of Kazakhstan.
President Tokayev also met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and senior members of the Trump Administration, emphasizing Kazakhstan’s commitment to deepening its partnership with Washington.
During the visit, Kazakhstan and the US also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on critical minerals cooperation, reinforcing shared interests in energy and technology security.
Earlier, Kazinform reported that Kazakhstan signed a $2.5 billion strategic agreement with John Deere, highlighting the growing scope of US-Kazakh economic ties.
