Kazakhstan’s budget airline FlyArystan has officially launched direct flights on the Atyrau-Tashkent-Atyrau route, further expanding its international footprint and improving transportation links between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
The inaugural flight touched down at Tashkent International Airport at 13:50 (GMT+5), where it was greeted with a ceremonial water salute. A total of 139 passengers arrived on board the Airbus A320 aircraft, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.
FlyArystan President Richard Ledger emphasized the strategic importance of the new route:
“This direct service provides access to Uzbekistan from western Kazakhstan and complements our Astana-Tashkent flights. It’s a meaningful step in strengthening trade, cultural, and tourism connections between our countries.”
According to the airline, the route will operate on the following schedule:
Twice a week in July and August (Thursdays and Sundays)
Three times a week in September and October (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays)
The flight duration is approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes.
FlyArystan, a subsidiary of the Air Astana Group, was established in 2019 as Kazakhstan’s first low-cost carrier. The airline continues to expand its domestic and international network, offering affordable and accessible air travel options across the region.
